The Last Block

Santa's house... was completed & then all the blocks were sewn together.
I joined them by using a narrow border around each block, then added a slightly wider outer border using the same background fabric. I'm ready to start the quilting so it can be delivered to it's new home.
I'm really HaPPy with the table runners design, so I hope DD#2 likes it as well.
Once it's delivered I will post a pic.

At FNSI

I worked on a GingerBread Man... & managed to finish him.
Then... as I'd already cut out lots of leaves for a wreath... I pressed them in place & stitched them all down too.
I'm pretty happy with the effort on Friday night...
must have been the great company 😉😜
THANKS Wendy for inviting me over to sew with you...

GeTTinG ReADy for CHRisTMaS

by making a table topper for my entry.
A very simple design but it suits the ornaments that will go on top in December.
And a gift was started for DD#2 for her dining table.
A Santa... and... to follow a few Snowmen & maybe more.

CaTcHinG Up...

After our sunny, warm & restful caravan holiday away up north in Queensland, I have a few items that are now finished ready to show...
The Canine Cuties Dog Quilt is completely finished...
This pattern is called Happy Tails by Suzy's Sitcom.

My RSC 2026 quilt is now bound & ready to go to a charity...
Two E2E crochet rugs are packed & ready to go (shown in an earlier post).
This blue one was finished while on holidays so that's 3 rugs off to another charity.

I've Been Using...

donated yarn to crochet 2 x rugs as donations to a charity.
They are both really BRIGHT but they'll keep someone warm this winter I'm sure.
The design is a corner to corner... C2C... & it's really simple.

Back Into It...

I finally got Teena in quilting mode again.
It's been  a g e s  since she had a workout and what else can you do on a drizzly winters day?
Originally a Jen Kingwell design called Bonnie Lass but I used larger pieces & in one colour for each block. These blocks were sewn to participate in the RSC2026.
Now onto the binding & label as this is a Community quilt.
It feels good to be interested in stitching again.

Community Quilt

NOT a lot of sewing going on in my cubby as I've found it hard to shake this bug...😷. However I did manage to add a binding & as this quilt is now completely finished, it's been added to the Novocastrian Quilters donation pile.
It measures 40 inch x 60 inch so a great lap sized quilt for someone.
Sadly it will be my one & only finish for the month of MAY ...😂
Thanks Wendy for giving me a push at FNSI to sew this binding onto a long overdue finish.

RSC 2026

Another quilt flimsy is finished by using the blocks I made during the past months of this challenge. The original pattern was by Jen Kingwell called Bonnie Lass.
It's in her book titled "Quilt Lovely".
The original design was made using smaller scraps & LOTS of different lights & darks paired together.
I already had 2 1/2 inch x 4 1/2 inch rectangles cut, so I used them.
Now that bin is all but empty...yeah...👍

And as I've been "under the weather" I'm late publishing my March finish.

I'll be working on it at a rescheduled FNwF on Friday.

FiNiSHeD Quilts

A few more "stash busting" quilt projects finished.
Puppy & Pals...
Thomas the Tank Engine...
Emergency Services...
AnD
another project from years ago is finally done & dusted.
When I first bought rulers I practiced on 12 inch blocks with circles & lines.
I made up a different design in each block to see how they looked.
Anyways, fast forward to today- when they are all put together I think they make an rather interesting lap sized quilt.
