BLaNkEtS of LoVe

I know that a lot of readers have been asked lately to contribute to worthwhile causes and you may think..."well here's another request" and this post is just that!   AnOtHeR ReQuEsT.
If you go to the BLaNkEtS of LoVe blog site you can read all about this heart touching initiative. I would like to organise a drive to gather a few of these tiny blankets and give them to the regional hospital near my home. Please support it if you can but if you are over committed at present that's OK too. I will try for this "drive" bi-annually, so perhaps next time you will be in a position to do so. I really appreciate you even thinking about giving and I have my fingers crossed that I receive an email or two.
The directions for making the quilts are on the blog and remember its a GrEaT way of using scraps and left overs. These quilts are really light weight so the postage costs will be minimal. Anyway, I hope you have the time to visit the blog.
I have attached a countdown to the sidebar showing how days are left if you want to participate.

ThAnKs for reading.

gosh, this is the same idea I have been mulling over for a while now, even before I started sewing lol. I lost twin granddaughters, stillborn at the beginning of the year and the stuff we got given was over- whelming. Along with blankets, clothing to dress them in, bootees, hats, teddy bears, gift boxes, disposable cameras, stamp pads to hand and foot print to name a few. These gifts of love that you will be making and giving will mean so much to all people involved and provides a sense of comfort at a time of great discomfort.

What a great cause. I'll check out the cost of shipping from the states and let you know if I can help.

Hi Cheryll! I can send you a blanket or two. Is it okay if I use cotton batting?
