Love the cockatoo! we have our daily visitor - Spike the Kookaburra and now his trusty side-kick "Mrs Spike" (as we fondly call the other one!). Somehow I don't think we'll be trying the mouth to mouth feeding method! have you really looked at a Kookaburra's beak? could do you a nasty injury!! I'll have to do some pics of MH feeding our Spike!
Amazing that you can get so close to them. Our little birds are such scardy cats that just opening the door can frighten them into flight. We have to sit quietly on the deck until they come sheepishly back to feed. Quite entertaining tho.
lovely - but i notice that the beer is not being shared!! my little human loves birds and flaps around (scaring them away in the process!) whenever they come in to land in our yard!

Very cool birds! I can't believe how they come and take food right out of your hand!
How great is that. We do have a Willy that comes right up to the door and sits at DH feet chattering.
How sweet, my cat chases the birds away from my yard
