I had some time on Wednesday to get a little sewing done. After I gave my cubbyhole a clean up and a little re-organising, I started on a Christmas item for my "1 Christmas Item A Month" group being hosted by Narelle over on her blog. Being in this little band of Xmas lovers certainly helps you to get things done. I'm so glad Narelle thought of it and let me play along with her. This is my project so far with applique still to go onto it yet. I'll have to finish it off by the 25th so I can link it on Narelles blog. Then it will be all ready for December.

I also made two burp cloth and taggie sets too. One went to my SIL's nephew for his new baby boy.... and the other goes off to DD2's friend who is expecting a baby girl soon. The girls set matches the quilt I made for the same friend, late last year.... so I know she will be happy with the colour choice. The blue burp cloth has bias edging... while the pink cloth has had the seam turned inside.

those cloths and taggies are super cute, babies love those taggie things, I made my niece a cube when she was teeny and the cute little fingers trying to grab them is too much! I am very excited about the swap and thinking about the design at the moment! Really looking forward to sending and receiving mine :)

I love making Tag Alongs and burp cloths for new babies. Yours are so cute. I like the different widths of ribbon. Hope you enjoy your Friday night sew in.

How cute! Are you making the burp cloths and taggies with flannel or regular cotton fabric? I received my partner and I'm ready excited to do be part of my first swap. Thanks for hosting!

I already finished my hot pad, do I have to wait until the 15th send it??? I am really bad about giving gifts early because I get too excited. lol
