I'll be DoWn in

A jiffy is an actual unit of time for 1/100th of a second.
Thus the saying, I will be there in a jiffy.

I often call down to my darling hubby from my cubbyhole..."yep..I'll be right down"...
usually for a cuppa.. either that ....or he's hungry....lol !
But what hubby doesn't realise is that you cannot stop in the middle of stitching or cutting or organising .. and just go cold turkey.. and go downstairs. Oh noooo... it takes planning... when and where you can StOp....so you know where to pick it up again and not lose that stroke of genius that was emerging.
So any wonder that a ...."jiffy" .... turns into a "sec" ... or a "minute" ....or "just give me 5" ...or "soon".......and finally ... "later".
I think he knows me well...because the cup of tea is often delivered to me upstairs...
Hubbies..... don't ya just LoVe 'em.

I have no one to answer too - well, the Queen (kitty), but she is good at waiting til I go into the kitchen and then begs. But when my kids were teens I got that answer when a chore needed doing.

You gotta love a man that delivers tea!

You are lucky like me. My DH just delivers tea or coffee to the sewing room or out to my shed.

You are lucky - my cuppa normally goes cold whilst it's waiting a jiffy/minute/half hour lol. But I like it when it's luke warm... means I can drink it faster and get back to what I was doing :0)
