FNSI EndS in the BiN

Last night (here in Australia that is) was Friday Night Sew In...
hosted monthly by either Heidi or Bobbie.
I had lots of plans and ideas of what I wanted to do... but alas, my good intentions ended with a rubbish bin!
Oh Noooo... I hear you saying... what went wrong... what mishap occurred in the stitching cubbyhole???

WeLL... I started the night off by gathering a few strips of left over sashing from my stash.
I used up some left over batting too and some ordinary looking backing fabric....
I stitched a bit here and then a bit there...
Trimmed off excess fabric... pinked a seam
Sewed on some binding...
then it happened... all my evenings work ENDED with the rubbish bin...

being covered!

I saw a pic on "bejewelled quilts" blog (by Barb) and thought my bin needed a face lift too. After my clean up of last weekend... I noticed the bookcase wall was feeling left out... it was in need of some TLC too...
Couldn't have the "new look" ironing board with it's clean fresh cover making fun of my plain ole bin now could I?

This morning... they're both smiling... and so am I !
I hope you all had a great FNSI too.

A mazing ... such a pretty bin beats my plastic basket .. the good thing about my old basket ( like a supermarket one) is that you can get a lot in it... hugs Laurie

Hee, hee, hee, great way to post this. You are doing a fab job of making over your cubby hole. Only thing is you will have to make sure now, that YOU are looking good when you go in there to sew or your ironing board and bin'll be making fun of little ol' you!
