GuilD MeetinG

Another month rolled around but this guild meeting was also special.  The Central Coast Modern Quilters Guild had it's AGM on Saturday. Leanne (Mt Vincent Quilts) was returned as President... and what a great President she is too... and all other positions were filled as well. A little business... then onto the FuN stuff!

But we all enjoyed these...

We will be donating a quilt (or profits from) made from donations of "purple" fabrics teamed up with lime greens, pinks and some florals, with white, to the Epilepsy Association. Most of us made at least one block and Leanne will stitch all 26 together. She will also graciously quilt the finished product.
Here are some of the finished blocks... aren't they pretty... and I'm sure the finished quilt will be StuNNinG. Perhaps you would like to buy a ticket in the raffle? I'll be sure to offer you all some...lol !

After finishing my 12inch block... 
I stitched up some of my pre cut squares...

 Then into strips... then joined them all together.

On Sunday I added the rest of the strips I had made last week so I have a finished (being pieced) flimsy. I plan to add some leaves and a vine here and there and when it's up to that... I'll show you another pic or two. In the meantime... here it is so far...
It's made entirely from beautiful flannel fabrics...
