A NeW BeGiNNinG

I recently met Michelle who is my partner in the 2012 Santa Sack Swap. A very dear friend of hers passed away and left a whole bunch of knitting needles... so Michelle very graciously gifted them to me.
Here they are in their original pouch...

I own many pairs of needles already... but some of these filled in a few gaps in my stash. I treasured the new ones... so I made a NEW home for them... now they can bunk in with mine.

Did you notice a butterfly or two on the flap ?

Well... they were cut from the original fabric. There wasn't enough fabric to use in the making of the new home but I felt I wanted to keep a small part of the original. I hope Michelle's friend is looking down and is pleased. The pattern was designed by Lyn Briggs called "Knitting Needle Roll".

That is so sweet, that you kept part of her original case, that really makes me smile. I love the case, I think I should make one adapted for my crochet hooks!
Blessings,
Susie
