CaRRy aLL & CaKeS

We had a change come through one morning last week so I headed upstairs to sew wait it out. When the sun emerged a little while later... so did I... with this!
A sewing "carry-all". It measures 6.5in x 8in when opened... and when folded up, it's only approx 2in x 8in . It was so easy to make too... all from a little bit of stash fabric, ribbon, stabiliser, batting & elastic.

I'm going to make another one so I will do a "how to" for it.
Yesterday, DD#1 and I attended a cake decorating course. DD wanted to learn how to work better with fondant and to make all those wonderful cake decorations. She is a natural at it... must get ALL that talent from her FaTHeR... lol ...and plans to go into business... huge grin... but we had a lot of FUN spending most of the day together.

She's NOT really giving up teaching to decorate cakes...
but she makes me laugh when she talks about it!
This was her effort.... DD tried many different adornments...

And this was mine... obviously for " Halloween"... ?!?
And... my FiRsT attempt...

OPENS TOMORROW...
Are you up for it?

That sewing caddy is awesome, Cheryll! Love it! And your cake turned out so gorgeous, so did your dd's, I'd have trouble cutting into them to eat! I can't believe that was your first attempt, looks like the apple didn't fall far from the tree...your dd obviously takes after you!
