MoRe SeW-AthoN

Yes... another day in my cubbyhole... well after the usual household cleaning and a load of washing... and lunch with my son... I suppose I should say 1/2 day of sewing... but it was FuN all the same!
First item was a small scissor keep. I am off to Girls Day in the Country (Fri/Sat/Sun actually) in 14 days and this is the swap gift we all have to bring. It was soooo easy and is a real little cutie. Just perfect to suit 3 1/2 inch embroidery sissors. I'm looking forward to catching up with old and some NeW friends there too... and as big Kev would have said...  " I'm exCiTeD"
The fabric is way nicer than it looks here... and the "red" really sets it off.

I also worked on my March One Xmas Item with Narelle & her group of elves. I won't show it until the 25th March though... but PeRHaPs just a little snippet today. Why not stop over to Narelles blog and put on your "elf" hat too. Why should we be the only silly ones with pointy ears... in silly hats???
Select... Cut... Applique... Quilt !
And I ended with THiS...  and...  ThaT !!!    Aren't they NiCe ???... lol
* * * * *
Then, finally... I searched through my stash drawers, plastic bags and boxes to find suitable fabric for a few projects. I'm all ready now... to start on a new project any time the urge takes me... Soooo much better when you are organised!!!
That was it for the day as I went off to have dinner with DD1 and SIL... wooHoo...

Perhaps I can squeeze in a little more
sewing time before hubby returns this arvo...
fingers crossed xx

Your scissor keep is lovely and your right; there's a lot to be said about being organised.

What a great day of sewing & family time, Cheryll...
Love the organisation of the upcoming projects, very neat.
And I Can't believe that after all this time, good ole Big Kev still gets a mention - I remember seeing him on Bert Newton's show - he drove me nuts with his annoying voice & cheesy shirts!!

I just bought a new pair of lil scissors, I need one of those little scissors keepers! Thanks for the idea, I will have to see what I can whip up.
