St. PaTRick

I wish everyone the very best of Irish "luck" today as it's St. Patrick's Day.
Did you know... The real St. Patrick was born in Great Britain but grew up in Ireland. For 40 years, he preached the gospel and built many churches. He died on March 17, 461 AD in Saul, Ireland where his first church was built. The first St. Patrick’s Day parade was not held in Ireland but in New York City. Held in 1762, Irish soldiers serving in the English military marched through the streets.

To celebrate St Paddy's day I made a new 12 inch MiNi. I was away when I organised the swap and wasn't sure if I would get the time to make a MiNi then mail it off on time so I didn't play along. But I knew I wanted one so I got busy and made this...
This little leprechaun sits on my foyer table so all who enter can receive their fair share of "good luck". I hope it works for the lottery on Monday...lol !
I made this runner last year (I think)... with appliqued "Shamrocks".
My brother and I worked on th MiNi design while away in February and I'm pleased with how it turned out, so I hope he is too!
Now I'm off to find my MiNi label... misplaced it somewhere in my cubbyhole...ooppss... perhaps I need some LuCK!

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you. I love your leprechaun, too cute. I had put up a small display in the library about St. Patrick's Day and have a special place in my heart for it as I am married to an Irish man.

Love it! There were a few leprechauns in town today for the Celtic festival. Grace and I had a wonderful time wandering around enjoying the dancing and music!

These items are awesome Cheryl. I have an Irish friend I would love to make a quilted gift for but haven't found the right pattern yet. Something like your table runner would be just the ticket! Look forward to seeing what you make next. Cheers, Tracy.

Happy St Patrick's day to you too. I must be getting really lazy....I didn't even bring out the few things I have for St. Patrick's day to decorate. However, we are having a GREEN meal today with green french toast, green milk, green scrambled eggs etc.
