I DeciDeD ThaT

My Friday Night with Friends would be a charity night.
I was donated some fabric by Kathy last year for my "Blankets of LoVe" project so I made another little quilt for the hospital. The "flannel" backing was donated by Kathy as well. I used a very scientific NEW quilting tool on this one... see it on the lower left in the pic?... VerY SoPHistcaTeD eh... but it was THE perfect size for making circles.
I added my usual "heart" on the back and some lovely stripes for the binding. The main fabric is very sweet and I kinda like this one for some reason.
I'll stitch the binding back by hand today.
Thanks Kathy for being so supportive.
The colours are much prettier than the light in this pic shows...

Next up... I cut out quite a few "Breast Cancer drain carry bags". Some of the fabric was donated by my SIL Trish (ThANkS) but I'm also using up fabric in my stash too but I need more strapping to finish off the ones I cut out... so more on them LaTeR... but in the meantime, I've finished 5 bags at this stage.
If you want to donate one or two of these bags to a hospital of your choice, or to me to pass on for you... here are the instructions on making them. Visit http://gonestitchin.net ... and click on CHARITY.
They are ReALLy very EasY.

WoW... I still had time to put together another Blanket of Love sandwich. The quilting on this one will have to be stitched over the weekend though as it just got too late to do any more. I plan on some FMQ in an animal shape... so I'll get back to you with that.
How did your night in with FRiEnDs go...?
Get lots done?  or just a little?  no matter... any crafting is GooD!
I'll come by over the weekend for a visit... so keep the kettle on...

Why not mark MAY 3rd in your diary
today for the next FnwF.
Thanks for your company!

Cheryll, Your projects are so nice and what a worthy cause too. I have heard mention of breast cancer too many times to mention in the past 18 months. I will sort out making some bags too. Thank you for the reminder. xx debbie

Great work Chez. Well done! I'll give you my FNWF report here as I can't do any posts. I keep getting errors and nothing works. I've still got my Thursday post about FNWF waiting to be posted! It is so annoying. I managed to work some more on my stitchery. Hopefully I can get my computer issues sorted out soon. I am able to leave comments (as you can see) and read my blog list but posting just isn't going to happen.

A very busy night Chez & great results. Love the quilting tool, wish they were all that cost effective & easy to use. I'm sure I have one of those someone deep & dark in the depths of my cupboards so must look it out. xx
