M.I.B.

No... not Men in Black... Missing In Blogland... lol
I had my bro and SIL here for a week and we talked ourselves silly for 7 days although we did get out a few times. My big bro brought me a gift useful for the sewing room... but that was as close as I got to blog hopping or writing a post.
Also during the week my desk top decided to take a holiday (break down) and so any emails that came through to my program is still IN my program unable to be read. I can go online to my web server and read NEW emails but not any already received. Soooo if you haven't heard from me after sending an email...please just email me again and I'll definitely answer this time... lol.
I apologise for all of the above...

In the CraftinG DepartMenT...
I made my item for One Xmas Item with Narelle and the elves... albeit I'm showing it a little later than the 25th. It's a candle mat or table centre piece.
The idea came from the Big Book of Appliqued Candle Mats published by House of White Birches.
I quilted around each set of leaves and candy canes and then added holly leaves in the centre with a 1/4 inch shadow around the outer edge of the scallop.

The mat measures 20in x 16in.

Your table mat looks lovely. The pattern in the white fabric, lime spot and red stripe all work so well together.

What a lovely mat. The green around it really is jolly. A big book of Candlemats sounds like it will keep you busy.
