If you have 5 brightly coloured fabrics...
and 3 feature fabrics...
like these...
And you cut the 5 into 3 inch strips (2 x wof), then sew them together, then cross cut them into 5 inch pieces, then stitch a few strips together... like this...
then add 1 strip of the feature fabric cut at 5 inch strips in between...11 rows in total,
then after all that, you add a 2 inch border all round...
you could end up with ...
A brightly coloured cot quilt or a floor play rug flimsy like I did.
I'll sandwich it, quilt it, add the binding and a label... and DIL & DS will have a new addition to the baby's room.
