I WaS DyeinG

all morning yesterday... and it was FuN!
Trish (Googy Girl) asked me to attend a fabric dyeing workshop by Tracy McNicoll with her. In the morning session we got to play with pots of dye and some WHITE cotton fabric... Trish & I played nice so we shared our toys...
then after a quick blow dry... we finished with these YuMMy pieces of cloth.
All I can say is... we had ... Fun FuN and more fUN !!!
In the afternoon session we got to STAMP some designs onto the fabric pieces... more play time!
And finally we got to CUT into the fabric and make this...     well start this...
I'll complete it this week and show it "finished" then!
All 5 "girls" dyed,stamped and sewn pieces.
Thanks Trish for asking me to come PLaY with you! You were great company!
I'll leave you with just ONE of the many quilts made from hand dyed fabric by Tracy.

* * * * *
I'll show you what I accomplished at FnwF during the week... and also get by YoUR place to see what YOU did too...
It's such a NiCe day here I'm off to spend some time in the yard!   EnJoY your DaY!

Gorgeous fabrics Chez. I did a dyeing course many years ago (I think we only had Mitchell then). My pile of fabrics is still sitting there not touched. I just like to look of the range of colours. Perhaps I should start using them!

The fabrics are so bright and cheerful! I still have fabric I dyed from several years ago that I've slowly been using. What a great idea to have a project to make right after making the fabric. Love the stamping.
