CatCHinG Up

I received a wonderful little Blanket of Love from Susan from ThimbleStitch. The colour blue is so delicate and pretty and of course the workmanship is perfect. Thank You Susan for your generous donation and remember to proudly display the "angel" button on your blog.
Visit the Blanket of Love site HERE... to see the complete "blanket".

A girlfriend recently told me that one of her daughters friends needed one of the "Blankets of Love" as she lost her unborn 20 week old baby. It's SO sad but now I know more than ever that these wee blankets DO make a difference.

On a happier note...
I completed another block in the Libby Richardson quilt "girls day out". I just love the colours in this one! The more I do of this quilt... the more I enjoy embroidery... so I'll prep another block to keep me moving forward! If you want to see more blocks from other QAL-ers... click here.

I'm using up my 2 passes in Chookyblue's SAL for July and August. I will be away in September too so I thought I would make a start on that months project now and be all ready when September rolls around. Otherwise Chooky may came looking for me... lol
It's the "Needle Book" from the SKOW (Some Kind of Wonderful) book we are all using.

And finally... HOW are YOU going... with your 12inch winter theme MiNi ?
Just a reminder that the mailing date is  August 12th.

Blankets of Love is such a great Charity. We make quilts for the same reason here at my quilt guild and I always hope they bring some comfort to people in such a terrible and heart breaking time.
Your stitchery work is fabulous - you clever cookie.

Thank you Cheryll for organising Blankets of Love. It felt so good to work on a project that might help someone a little at such a hard time. Lovely florist block.

Beautiful blanket from Susan and I am loving your Girls day out blocks. Now about that 12" mini .... my first go has ended up in the bin as I was just not happy with it! Hopefully after the grocery shopping today I can try and find another idea and run with it. The "Naughty cnr" on the stitch along blog is getting a bit crowded but if you havent already come on over as the view, well you will see :) lol hugs
