I have a Fontanini nativity inside a glass teardrop which is my favorite Christmas ornament.

Hello Cheryll,

Is it getting that close! My favourite ornaments would have to be the one's the children did when they were young. I still have a nativity set that was made in pre-school. That shoe box with the Christmas scene is worth more than the expensive one's you buy.

Enjoy the rest of the week.
Bev.

Mine is a tiny jingle bell with my name on it. It's cheesy but it came from my boss. At the time she got it it was still summer many years ago. I thought it was great that she thought enough about me during her busy trip to pick up a trinket for me. I keep it on my shelf in the office all year long and still smile when I see it. I've worked there 20 years and she has worked there a few years longer. BTW...our possums don't look like your possums but I bet they're just as "loved", lol.

My mom had cancer and while getting her chemo she wanted a small project to work on.. I found a pattern for crocheted bells and asked her to make me some for my tree.. she crocheted them but didn't get to finish them so when she passed I took the bells and finished them for her.. I had other motives as they were not for my tree, Mom always made things for friends and family and the year she passed I sent everyone a bell as her last gift to them.. with this note:
I love you all dearly, now don't shed a tear, I spending my Christmas with Jesus this year.

Thanks for the opportunity to enter this give away. Great prizes by the way.
I am a retired teacher, and when I taught third grade, I received three ornaments made from aluminum foil from a sweet little girl whose family could not afford to feed their own children. I was so touched, she had cut out the shapes, taken crayons I'd given her and decorated each one. One is a star, one is a circle ornament, and the other is more elongated, and is red, which at that time was my favorite color. The other children started to snicker, until I started to ooh and ahh and explain that I felt it was a most cherished gift because it was handmade. That she took the time to sit down and draw, cut, and decorate each ornament. I was so pleased that the rest of the class changed their attitude, and that year I received many handmade items for the end of year gifts.
Even though I am now 62, I still have these three ornaments, and lovingly put them on my tree. I have had to repair one, but they still bless my heart.
