FNwF FinisHes

It was lovely spending time with you last night. Did you have FuN too?
I finished off a Blanket of Love as I wanted to try out a new quilting pattern... which included Hearts of course!
It's a stencil from H.Walner (HW128) sized at 10inch called "Leaves Entwined".
This blanket measures 18 inch square & is backed with PiNk flannel.

I also made a simple pouch to carry & store a set of 4 Hexie templates. I added a matching sissor fob & both were made from my "stash".
Don't you just LoVe rummaging through stash fabric!

Even though it was getting late I finished off the flimsy "centre" that I had started at the retreat. I only had 6 more "patches" to stitch on... so it was worth staying up a little later.
I'm really pleased with this simple "lap sized" quilt top so far & once the border fabric is added, I'm sure it will look even better.
Put the kettle on & I'll be over for a visit to see your FNwF work/s in progress...

They all look lovely Cheryll!! I wasn't there, as I was at the Pizza & Games night at the Let's Get Stitched retreat in Melbourne, but I did get a little bit of sewing done this afternoon on my BFF Bom! :)

Your blanket of love is very cute Cheryl, & the quilting pattern is too.

Your hexie holder is gorgeous - is it designed for 1 project at a time? I haven't got into hexies yet but have a few friends/acquaintances who are and they seem to be addictive.

Your quilt top also looks lovely. You sure did have a productive night. Cheers, Tracy xx

Love the heart quilting on the cute giraffe blanket. Lovely hexie pouch, I think one of those would come in handy. Beautiful flimsy.
