I didn't add as many buttons as I was worried about plates being unstable... wouldn't want any spillage...lol... & the colour of the mat is much nicer than it shows here.
I'm linking this "Tea Mat" up to Sharon's... Lets Book It ... HERE.
Thanks Sharon for another month... & another finished project.

Really lovely Cheryll and I agree with the instability of the buttons. Lol.
Looks good Dory....great pattern
You are fast - I like your version better, a little more appealing in the shape. Although I do love buttons, you are right in limiting on a table runner. NIcely done!
Looks good Cheryll. I always worry about too many buttons or thick seams on runners for the same reason.
Your runner is lovely Cheryl. I am the same with any embellishments on runners. Looks like a lovely book.
thats lovely Chez, well done on a beautiful finish, hope you are enjoying your day my friend.xx
Lovely idea. I think leaving off the other buttons was very smart.
Great finish, love this pattern
Good old snow balls. Aren't they great? They always look different each time you make them.
It is lovely..and I like the rectangle shape you have made
Oh, how cute! I agree on the buttons…..could spell trouble.

It's lovely Cheryll!! And the effect of the doughnuts in the rectangle is fabulous :)
Great change from runner to placemat! Good catch on the buttons -- I would have never thought about that (and something to keep in mind when embellishing projects).
