A feW TicKs

FNSI is hosted by Wendy... over HeRe.
If you would like to visit "friends" & see what each of them achieved last night... it's simple... click on over to Sugarlane Designs HeRe.

In September last year I was in Bathurst at a BLoG meet... & of course shopped at the Hatched & Patched shop... visit Anni Downs HeRe.  I purchased a pattern for a pin cushion that I wanted to make & I also purchased the same pattern in a "kit" form for my friend Shez for Christmas.
I had already cut out the pieces so it was fairly easy to finish it off at FNSI. I'm really pleased with how it turned out too. My favourite type of applique is blanket stitch edged even though the original pattern shows a needle turn form of applique.

I'm linking this project finish to Sharon Vrooman's "LeTs BooK It" monthly group as well.
Visit HeRe if you're interested in finding out more... or want to join in.  Thanks Sharon...

I also used fabric from my scraps bin for this project... yeah... so another project goes onto my 2016 Scrap BusTinG Challenge list...

If you would like to join me in my "challenge"... please feel free to do so.
Just add the button to your blog... & keep a list of the projects you make using ONLY your scraps.
It will be FuN & rewarding at the same time.

Well that turned out beautifully! I love your scrap busting challenge and for a wonderful moment thought "I have that red bag of...." and then the horror of what I was thinking struck me in the face and I cried out!

I'm kidding, it's a lovely idea that I may REALLY want to participate in...let the pondering begin :D

Oh and Friday night for me doesn't start until 5:00pm today here in Alaska, so I'm always late for the sew in ha ha

Hello Cheryll,

A beautiful pin cushion, always good to use up those scraps that seem to breed like rabbits.

Happy days.
Bev.

oh nice work - I especially love the idea of the stash busting, since I've already decided that is something I really need to work on this year!! Some of my stash is from when I first started learning to sew around 32 yrs ago - funnily enough it's still pretty basic!
