BLooMerS PaRTy- #1

It's time to reveal our FiRsT block... Yes it's January 19th already.
How did you go?  Did you make a start on your block?  Fingers crossed you managed a little bit of work on it. It doesn't matter how much you accomplished... show us over the weekend so we can all drop over to congratulate you.  After all, we all sew / work at our own pace.
If we keep the interest & motivation going WE WILL finish our quilt.

I started using a needle turn applique as I liked the way the flowers "stood up"... but I've changed my mind & I'm now making my quilt using the fusible method instead. I will keep this first block in tact & will possibly make it into a cushion later.

My BLooM is a blend from "Oasis" by 3 Sisters & "StoryBook" by Windham lines & also the 30's & 40's fabrics on a jelly roll for the block borders.
I've gathered different & some extra filler fabrics now too... so I should be all done shopping.

I'm already in LoVe with my NeW first  BLooM.

A very pretty block. I do like the needle turn but find machine applique quicker.

So pretty. I must say that fusible appliqué is my go to method. It always gives a nice result. I love your fabrics.

My fabrics are all patiently waiting to start. Waiting on my templates then I'm ready to go
Mind you I'm not as patient as the fabrics lol
