After spending a lovely few hours enjoying Music at the Podium...
on a beautiful evening with a good band, family, food & a few drinks...
I returned home & made a block in YeLLoW for So Scrappy's RSC 2021...
I used my Fiskars 8 inch rotating cutting mat and a 2 1/2 inch bloc loc ruler while making the HST & realised that I LoVe using them both, as it makes those pesky little blocks extremely easy to square up.
There were 21 of us all virtually together last night...
I hope you all enjoyed a night of sewing or stitching or whatever craft you chose.
I'll be over to visit your blog sometime over the weekend...
ALSO: Linked to RSC2021 ...

Your yellow block looks lovely. I did hand applique on an Ella block while watching a movie.
Wait! That was last night. Today I am finishing machine quilting a quilt from way back.
Pretty yellow block.
Looks like it was a fun evening! I got some quilting done, now it's off to bed so I can take a road trip tomorrow with a friend.
Lovely block, I did some stitching but it is for a group of Needlecraft Haven and I am not sure if I can show it on my blog yet.
Sewing up your RSC blocks was a nice end to your evening....
I have been promising myself a rotating mat for a while now, must make life so much easier. Your yellow block is great. xx
Love your yellow block... I still need to catch up on the pink one!! xx
Sounds like a great day Cheryll, nice that you were able to do both sewing and socialising :-) I've never used a block-lock ruler but I have heard good things about them. A great choice of block for your RSC. Two small children here for the weekend meant no sewing time for me but maybe next time!!
Lovely block Chez. That cutting mat looks very handy. Will have to look out for one. xx
Lovely block, the bloc ruler looks like a very handy accessory for accurate cutting.
How lovely to attend a live event. Looks like a gorgeous setting.
The yellow block is so sunny! Lovely and bright.
I am only just discovering the bloc loc accessories. Borrowed one recently and love it.
Sweet blocks, Cheryll! They look so sunny & cheerful. I wouldn't have been able to make such perfectly pointed HSTs after day in the sun. Lol!
Ahhh, I like the idea of summer evening in the park, listening to music :-)
How lovely and right your yellow is ,
xx
Sounds like a wonderful evening, very pretty block.
Gorgeous way to spend a few hours... looks like lovely weather too.... cute little block quilt. I havent a block lock ruler but heard they are great.. that line in it seems to be a great idea...

Pretty YELLOW block for the Rainbow Scrap Challenge!!
Your block is so lovely and fresh.
Looks like a real party atmosphere going on there! Love your pretty yellow block.
Thanks for the warm welcome back to blogland! I did actually join in for the Friday night stitching, but I seem to be a little lacking in IT skills as coming back to my blog I no longer seem to be able to reply to comments, have a spam comment that continues to show up on every post even though I've marked it as spam and when checking my blog posts I see gobbly goop ..... so trying to work it out - meantime getting soem stitching done & love your blocks!! Also looks like a fun night
Your little frame is such a nice way to draw the little yellow blocks together as a group.
What a lovely way to spend the evening - on both fronts. Aren't those little rotating mats the best. I think mine is one of my favourite quilting tools, although I don't use block lock rulers, as I press my HSTs open. The block looks great.
Yellow is such a bright and happy color, isn't it? The Music at the podium looks so fun! I am going to have to try the rotating cutting mat again. For some reason when I bought mine I think I tried it once and hated it so I gave it to my Sis, who LOVES it! Go figure.....
Lovely yello scrappy blocks. Thank you for hosting.
