I cut up gifted scraps (WOF strips of each) 9 x 4 1/2 inch squares & joined them into a 9 patch. Yes another disappearing 9 patch block was being sewn.
This time I used all different colours/fabrics to make this block below...
I then joined all 9 blocks (3x3 layout)... cut off 2 lower corners... added a border (again from the donation basket) at 2 1/5 inch... & turned all that left over scrap fabric into a 40 inch wheel chair quilt.
I'll make more as DD wants to donate them to the Cancer Care patients she treats.
I'm really HaPPy with this quilt I sewed alongside my friends at FNwF...
even IF I started a little earlier in the day...
I do THANK YOU for your company...

Your wheel chair quilt is very pretty Chez. I haven't seen one before.
Lovely wheelchair quilt Cheryll.
A lovely finish sure to be appreciated by the recipient.
Fantastic effort for the day - and a beautiful quilt

Lovely wheel chair quilt.
Fantastic job Chez...
Could you please tell me the measurements of the finished quilt and the cut off dimensions
Small size is 36inch up to large of 42inch OR anywhere in between is ok too. Cut off the angle at approx 45’ or where your block allows. Simple and no official rules. Xox
Disappearing 9 patch is always so simple - yet effective. Good job!
The fabric combinations work well. Lovely quilt. And a great donation.
Thanks so much for having us Cheryll! Nice work on that quilt. xx
What a nice way to use those fabrics.
Great way to make an interesting quilt. I might have to rethink some of my quilts for seniors. (Said the senior...)
