BaCK to SPiDeR WeB BlocKs

Early last year I sewed scraps into strips & trimmed them with a "wedge" ruler.
I joined 8 wedges together to form one 16 inch block.
However I only managed to finish 2 complete blocks.
I started playing with it again this week & took the easy "joining" route & made them into "squares" using white fabric as setting triangles.
I decided to use foundation paper pieced 8 inch blocks to compliment the design.
I'll use these blocks around the 6 centre spider web blocks... almost like a border.
I only made one FPP block so far... BuT I think I will like the layout.

I am off to a sewing ReTReAT tomorrow for four days.

I've packed lots of projects (including scraps for the above project) & hope to also get a few quilts quilted & bound.
Of course I have to work on Forest Friends for my NeW grandie "BoY"  too, so I'll have plenty to keep me occupied.

Welcome to the world Tyler Richard. How many Grandies do you have now????

The Spider Web blocks look great, and the other blocks will work well as borders.

Have a great time at retreat
