Generous Acts

We are all aware of the generous nature of most people in the community. Just about everyone is trying to donate a little bit or offer some form of comfort or support to the flood victims.
But on a personal note, I have recently been shown the wonderful giving nature of quilters. Two ladies gave their time and effort to make a blanket/s, a blogger friend committed to sending me a handmade gift, then again today a thoughtful gesture by Fiona....... so I decided that I would like to  PaY  It  FoRwArD.

If three of my FRiEnDs would like to receive a handmade gift by yours truly which will be sent sometime during the year then please just leave me a comment saying you'll be part of my PIF.
I would LoVe to do it for YoU!
Then if you feel so inclined you can do the same to 3 more wonderful friends.

I know this project has been around for awhile but I'd like someone else to feel the way I did when I was shown such generousity.

I have sent out 3 parcels (well 4 - one doesn't count as it was to my grandsons) - one just because, one a "make a smile", and one some quilts for 'Happy Chemo'. I don't expect anything in return, except that happy feeling you get - and I have that.

Hi Cheryl. I am currently in the process of making some Huggles (soft toys) to donate to flood relief, organized by Leanne at Stitch Selection Blog. There is also another Wonderful thing happening with " New Beginnings" where sewing kits (sewing companion/needlecase/scissor fob/pincushion, scissors/thread needles and lots of extras, all in a drawstring bag, for our fellow quilters/sewers who have lost everything. The button can be found on various blogs, as well as Gum tree designers blog. Sandy:)

I'm sure you have your 3 :) I did my PIF on facebook with 5 folks and ended up with 3 extras and did those as Random Acts of Kindness! I have already finished and sent them out!! I might have to do it again! It's soo fun just to whip up something quick for friends...I was tickled to play with my stash I know I won't use for anything specific! I hope you show off what you make!

Hi Cheryll,

What a lovely idea! I would love to be considered for your PIF. I am planning some random acts of kindness myself this year. I have recently hosted quite a number of giveaways - which I love doing.
