On ThE RoaD AgAiN

Since leaving New York city we have flown to Texas via Charlotte in North Carolina.

Dallas
We rented a car at the airport and headed south. We plan to return to Dallas again so we headed for Houston to visit 2 blogger friends. Unfortunately Joyce was not at home...but luckily for me...Donna was. She is so warm, friendly and just downright SwEEt ...that a short visit felt like we had known each other for years! I hope very much to cross paths with her again one day! Fingers crossed xx

The roads in Texas were unbelievable to us.... huge .. and at times 10 lanes with 3 on/off ramps each side making a total of 16 lanes ... then add some overhead passes.... WoW !!!!

Our next stop was Galveston on the Gulf of Mexico... the weather was balmy.. .just PeRfEcT for me!

Next we drove into Louisiana...

Then ended up in unique New Orleans !
This is such a FuN place to visit and the quaint little hotel we picked out is just PeRfEcT too! Right on St Charles Avenue... just near the french quarter. Look out Nu'orlins...here we come.

We are here for a few days so I'll check back in later.
Thanks for ViSitiNg....

We were in Austin, Texas this time six years ago. I agree about the roads there. We were amazed at the amount of ramps and some of them 3 or levels high!

So fun that you got to visit Donna!!! I hated driving in Dallas when I lived there, lol - I'd get so lost. Glad you're having a good time, hon!

New Orleans is olnly 1 1/2 house from Mobile! I love New Orleans, you must visit the Cafe Du Monte, you won't reqret it. If you have time drive to Gulf Shores in Alabama, that's where the best beaches are!
