SLowLy BuT SuReLy

I haven't kept to my self imposed schedule of late... but I have until December 25th to get this one finished... so I spent some time in my cubby-hole last Thursday and made BLocK 6 ..."Santa's Coming".
I'm going to LoVe this quilt when it's done as it's made from the French General fabric line with a really cute theme. The quilt is called...
The Night Before Christmas.
So, this is now added to the BOM group, albeit a little out of sequence.

My blogger friend Maria from HERE gave me a fantastic idea last week. Maria mentioned that I should start a NaNNa CHesT. No... I haven't got any news in that department... but I love making things for babies and little ones and thought after Maria suggested it, that I would start adding projects to the chest for when the time comes and I DO become a NaNNa.

Isn't it a wonderful idea.
THANKS so much Maria... you da best!

i did that when i was working at spotlight and everyone laughed at me ,but when i became a grandma for the 1st time,i had lovely embroidered wool blankets cot sets for either boy or girl in the same range ,my girls pick the fabric for those,i had little knitted jumpers and jackets, embroidered singlets, best of all no panic to make stuff as i have seen other nana's do,my girls have used their cots sets for all their children so it was good that i did a boy and a girl version.Have fun making your nana chest.xx

LOL I think it's great you are doing your "Nanna Chest" because when the Granddies come along you won't have time to stitch. You will be too busy cuddleing...

Love the fabrics in your Christmas quilt.. the mouse is so cute.

Love your quilt...adorable. Also love your saying at posts end....it is totally out of your control when you become a Nanna.....all those things are true.

What a neat idea! I think I'll start a Nanna chest for all my kid's friends who seem to be having babies around now (I have 5 DGKs). Night before Christmas is darling!

I love your Night Before Christmas. I think a Nana chest is a great idea. At least for me, maybe I would finish something, since I would have years to finish, lol. It is a neat idea!
Blessings,
Susie
