"BRaVo" BrO

How lucky am I to have a clever and creative brother who can make ME... his lil' sis... and a quilter ... LaBeLs.  I just love them... and they are really quick and super easy to personalise and then sew onto a finished quilt.  This is just a few of the patterns he's done for me...

All you have to do is...
Embroider your name and date by hand or machine...(or write with fabric pen).
Crease with your fingertips...
Trim back to 1/4 inch...
Iron down...
Stitch in place...
VioLa!

Thanks BiG BrO... you are "da mannnnnn" !

Each fabric label is approx 3 inch x 1.5 inch... JusT  PeRFeCT!
So...  if you would like to WIN a few of these wonderful labels... just leave me a comment on this post ONLY. You may like to tell me how you make your labels... although it's not necessary to win.  I really am interested...

I'll draw a  few names ... in a day or two...   for some of these...

Thanks for visiting...

Oh yes please, I would love a chance to win a lovely handmade quilt label.
I usually use a rectangle or square of fabric from the quilt, write on it, press under 1/4", pin it on and stitch.

Very nice labels. I usually handwrite mine on muslin. So no cute pictures to go with the writing.

Wonderful Brother!
I have a friend with an embroidery machine and she made me a label for Christmas to go on my SAL quilt.
I could use a few of these, too.

Lucky you to have a great brother and clever one at that
My labels are very uninteresting Just written with a fabric pen or occasinally I buy some pre printed

Very clever. My labels are a square folded in to a triangle with the written message.
These are then sewn into a quilt corner when attaching the binding. The loose folded edge is then sewn down.

I usually embroider a border and then write my label details in the centre but they never look really professional

You do have a clever brother. I either hand write my labels onto fabric or prepare them on the computer. I prepare the fabric with some preparation stuff (from Punch with Judy), iron it onto freezer paper and then print out the label. This way I can also add photos to my labels.

What a clever and generous big brother. They are great. For quilts I sometimes use a doiley with the fabric centres. They look so pretty and you can embroider or write in the centre.
Hugs xx

I was just trying to decide how to 'sign' my mom's quilt. In the past, I've used counted cross stitch fabric and crossed stitched my labels. I like yours much better!

I'm really naughty and don't usually do labels, I'm sure I'd make the effort if I won some of these gorgeous ones.

That is so nice of your brother. What super cute labels. What I do is embroider my name and date on the binding before I sew it on.

What a lovely brother! I make my own labels with my bear on them, I just print them onto fabric and then stitch them on. I have also made some smaller ones that go on twill tape and they are done using an iron on transfer paper - the stuff you use to make a tshirt. Too easy really.

How lovely to have a big brother, mine are much younger and although one can knit, neither could/would think to try something so pretty and practical. I am jealous, I write mine with a fabric pen I am all thumbs when it comes to embroidery..
