BLanKeTs of LoVe

Yesterday, hubby and I took 30 tiny Blankets of Love to the John Hunter Regional Children's hospital. I usually drop the donations off to the Nurse-in-Charge Maree but she was tied up in a meeting... so nurse "Gabby" took care of them on her behalf. We usually make our annual drop off in January or early February, but this year time just got away from me... oopps! Gabby... on behalf of any family who has received one of these little wonders ... expressed her gratitude and appreciation... saying how much they helped a family in their time of need.
So... anyone who donated a little Blanket of Love to me in 2012... they should be feeling the love today...  wearing a big smile on their face... knowing they are very SPeCiaL people...
Thank You Ladies... you know who you are.

If you want to read all about this project... just go over to my other blog HERE. You can also see the names of these wonderful generous ladies on the sidebar.

This is part of the beautiful wood carving outside the Neo-Natal
and Birthing/Delivery Units on the 3rd Floor.
Well Done Ladies...

Just so lovely! And from someone who was on the receiving end when I had my little bub delivered (whom died in utero) to hold him in something that someone had lovingly made was truly special. I still have that blanket in a special box and think about the group often that made it. I am very grateful.
