Yes I'm having my very own
Sew-Athon. You see Hubby is away playing golf... so when the
boss other half is away the
real boss quilter will
play sew. Although I did get a few interruptions during the day I managed to get quite a lot done.
Started off with some Bits-n-Pieces...
I had a large
xmas tablecloth that needed to be cut down... so that was my first job.
Overlock... hem... gather... admire!
2. I finished preparing block 2 in the Girls Day Out quilt. I did some while in the van recently but I am behind most of the other girls... so I traced the embroidery lines ready for the hand stitching.
I better get movin!
3. I made the top and bottom of the SKOW pin cushion for March SAL and stitched it to the completed embroidery side panel. I'm all done for the month now...
yippee!
4. I finally got around to tracing, selecting fabric and then adhering the applique pieces for the
first block in "Girls Day Out" too. I'm W-A-Y behind on this one...
yikes!
I needed the daylight to trace the embroidery pattern... so that was it for the night.
WooHoo... a very successful
first day of my personal Sew-AtHoN!

That's a load of work for a day... I saw your pincushion over on the SAL - so I was wondering if you have a button just so you can stick needles in that hole (or holes) so you don't pick up a needle when you want a pin?? I think that's very clever and an idea worth borrowing so I hope you don't mind.
