It's ALReaDy 11/ 2o2o

I stitched the last 2 Wonky blocks & paired them with their 4 patch blocks.
Then I sewed a row together... & before I knew it... ALL the rows were sewn.
I now have a flimsy ready to be quilted.
I even made the binding from the remaining batik... so another finish is looming.

This charity quilt measures 40in x 60in & was made completely from scraps too.

The final TriDazzle blocks were constructed this week as well...
25 in fact.. & as I decided to qAYG using simple lines, I trialled one block...✅

This quilt design started out as Alter Ego by using the layer cake I had on hand... BuT it just wasn't showing the contrasting effect... so I changed my direction.
I know I'll be much happier with the new layout... 👌

Using a small panel piece I found in my stash & a few orphan blocks...
I added two borders, some appliqué & finished with a PICU flimsy.
Quilting is under way with "hearts & a motif " & I'll add a bright binding.
It will finish at 24in x 30in.

It's always a thrill to make something lovely from what we already have in stash. They all look great. What method do you use for joining your QAYG blocks? See you on Friday.

Lovely and energetic things going on here!l I really favor the wonky blocks. I would call the hexagon shaped log cabins. Anyway, it is a unique quilt that I love very much. Way to go with getting the binding ready too.
