Sewing At Night

Stitching black at night is a nightmare for my old eyes...AnD sewing dots...
well that's double the trouble... BUT... I did get to add the binding to this large Community quilt.
It measures 62 inch x  78 inch and is a Monica Poole design.
It was sewn as a qayg.

That is really effective with the QAYG backing.

Wonderful quilt and great finish. Black is often a challenge for me too.

black is the wise color to sew at night, I luv your blocks! A tip I learned a while back when you can't see to thread the needle of the machine is to hold a piece of white paper or fabric behind the eye of the needle

A great result. Definitely worth sticking with the black. even though it wasn't much fun!

Yes black is hard to sew at the best of times but harder at night but you made a great finish.

Night sewing is hard on my eyes too and black would make it even harder. Will you hand sew it down on the back? I've had problems even during the day sewing black binding by hand. I do love the way it finishes a quilt though! What a pretty quilt!
