AnYWAy this is what I accomplished.....
But first I wanted to say a ThAnK YoU to Alex for the lovely little package that arrived on my doorstep.
It was completely unnecessary as I wanted to make a block for her "Get Well / Feel Better" quilt, BUT I do appreciate the thought and I will use the beautiful fabric in a project asap.
Just LoVe the colours..... |
Now back to "FNSI" or in my house "SMSI"
My #2 daughter asked me to make a table runner for her to give as a gift for Xmas.... and as I don't have much time left to finish all the OtHeR projects I have on the go, I decided to make it using a panel... (I think the inspiration came from SuE (Quilted Hugs & Other Nonsense) who kindly added some fabric to my block swap package) so I checked through my stash and found enough suitable backing and sashing to suit and cut it all ready for sewing. I even cut the batting and packed all the "stuff" into a plastic bag ready to go. I'll get onto it ASAP.
Now the reason I had some time to myself this morning is because all the BoYs have gone off to the beach for a surf and my SIL (sister-in-law) was on the deck reading... so I could sneak off, well...not really sneak maybe just quietly shuffled off to my sewing room and cut away to my hearts content... although it was only a mere 1/2 hour I suppose... anyway while looking for the above fabric I came across some hand stitched appliqued squares that were hidden in the bottom of a drawer, so I figured I could make them into another (and the LaSt) "Blanket of Love", however one was not quite finished...... so I just sat on the back deck and finished it off.... yeah.... I haven't decided how this blanket will come together yet... but inspiration will come later or at least I hope it will..
As we all know there are NO wasted works of art ...just unfinished masters.!!!
PhEw....That's EnOuGh about Me...
How did you go enjoying your own personal FNSI?
I hope you managed to take a minute or two for yourself.... and I hope I get another few minutes to go check out ALL your blogs to see your achievements. Until next visit.... EnJoY !

Such pretty blocks! Your projects are always so lovely!
Great appliqué blocks and the table runner looks like it will be lovely once it is all assembled - the cutting sometimes takes longer than the sewing (least it does for me lol).
Gorgeous little package to receive through the post - the colours are yummy!
Beautiful blocks Sue and they will look wonderful in a little blanket xxx
